A parking space marked by a "Reserved Parking for Persons with Disabilities" sign may only be used by vehicles that display Persons with Disabilities license plates, Disabled Veteran license plates, and/or disabled parking placards.

When entering a roundabout, you must yield to pedestrians, bicyclists, and traffic already in the roundabout.

Drowsiness can make people drive so poorly that they appear to be drunk. Opening a window, turning on the radio, or drinking coffee is not enough to make a drowsy driver alert to roadway hazards.

While driving, you should remain aware of the actions of surrounding drivers. If you notice an aggressive driver nearby making erratic or improper lane changes, you should not challenge them. The safest way to handle an aggressive driver is to get out of their way.

If your vehicle has a two-part seat belt system, be sure to wear both the lap belt and the shoulder belt. Wearing either part alone greatly reduces your protection. If you have an automatic shoulder belt, be sure to buckle your lap belt as well.

When driving a vehicle equipped with an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), a driver should press the brake pedal firmly when stopping on a snowy or icy surface. The ABS will pump the brakes more rapidly than a driver would be able to.

When you are approached by an emergency vehicle that is using its lights, sirens, and/or other warning devices, you must immediately drive to the right side of the road and stop.

This sign indicates that U-turns are prohibited. You may see a sign like this at an intersection that commonly has oncoming traffic.

Your opportunity to operate a motor vehicle on Oklahoma’s streets and highways is a privilege granted by the state under certain conditions. This privilege is granted only to people who can show that they have the knowledge and ability to safely operate their vehicles. Abuse of this privilege may result in the loss of your driver license.

When turning left at an intersection, you must yield to oncoming bicycles in the same manner that you would yield to oncoming motor vehicles. Keep your wheels straight while waiting to turn and proceed when the way is clear of traffic and pedestrians.

Before changing lanes, you should look in your rearview and side mirrors to make sure no one is trying to pass you. You should also look over your shoulder to make sure that no one is in your blind spot.

Warning signs are usually yellow with black markings. This sign indicates that you are approaching a steep hill. Slow down and be ready to shift to a lower gear to control your speed and protect your brakes from damage.
