Karen (Plankton’s computer wife) is named after Karen Hillenburg, the wife of the show's creator. Karen is a supercomputer that regularly helps her husband in his devious plans.
The episode "To Love a Patty" was aired in Season 5. While making his usual Krabby Patty burger orders, SpongeBob is amazed by a beautiful Krabby Patty burger he has created. Refusing to give it to a customer, he runs off with it.
Although the show has lots of characters, there are 10 main ones in the show: SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krab, Pearl, Mrs. Puff, Sandy, Gary, Plankton, and Karen.
Pearl is a teenage sperm whale. The show's creator wanted each main character to be a different creature, which is why Pearl is not a crab.
As shown in his driver's license, Mr. Krab was born on November 30th, 1942. This cheapskate of a boss really loves his money and is always trying to find more ways to earn it and save on costs.
SpongeBob first aired in 1999. In 2019, the show celebrated its 20th year in existence. Not all years, however, featured new TV episodes as production often stops whenever a SpongeBob movie is being made.
This lovable cartoon character was the creation of former marine biologist Steve Hillenburg. Inspired by the sea sponge, SpongeBob's final shape came from the kitchen sponge as it was more appealing.
SpongeBob and Pearl were two characters Hillenburg thought up while he was still working as a marine biologist. While working in the Whale Institute, Hillenburg was fascinated by the sperm whale.
For SpongeBob to be an adult and not a child attending school, Mrs. Puff teaches the residents of Bikini Bottom to drive boats.
The fictional Bikini Bottom is in the Pacific Ocean under the Bikini Atoll, a part of the Marshall Islands. Many of the houses and buildings come from junk that has sunk from the surface world.
