Tarabalo Hot Springs is a natural hot spring located in Tarabalo, Tarabalo is a cluster of hot springs that covers an area of 8 acres in the district of Nayagarh in the state of Odisha. The spring is Odisha's largest thermal field and is said to have medicinal characteristics in its water.

Near the Atri hot spring is Lord Hatakeswara temple, a well-known shrine. On the day of Makar Sankranti, the temple hosts a huge yearly fair called Makar Jatra (mid January). On this day, pilgrims flock in huge numbers to worship Lord Hatakeswar in order to have their wishes granted and to bathe in the ponds in order to get cured of their ailments.

The Brahmani river in Odisha district provides a base for the Rengali, Baitarani, and Anandpur projects.

From fertile alluvial deltaic soils in coastal plains to mixed red and black soils in the Central Tableland, red and yellow soils with low fertility in the Northern Plateau, and red, black, and brown forest soils in the Eastern Ghat region, soil types range from fertile alluvial deltaic soils in coastal plains to red, black, and brown forest soils in the Eastern Ghat region.

There are two National Parks in Odisha -1) Bhitarkanika National Park and 2) Simlipal National Park.

The Baitarani and Brahmani interfluve's Mankarnacha - Malayagiri and Gandhanadar mountains: In a north - south direction, this range of mountains with three lofty summits spans. All of these mountains are part of the Eastern Ghats, which have a NE to SW trend. A polycyclic zone exists in this location.

Odisha produces 3,135 tonnes of salt annually, compared to a demand of 6.7 lakh tonnes, including 4.5 lakh tonnes for industry. Surala, Sumandi, Humma, Ganjam, and Rambha used to contribute approximately 90% of the state's salt production.

Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1961. The Sanctuary covers 672 square kilometres. During August of 2002, the area was also classified as the state's second Ramsar site (i.e., a Wetland of International Importance).
